What exactly is a team and what or who is it made up of?
A team is a group where all members focuson a collective goal.Each member of the team does not focus on their own targets,but rather focuses on the Big picture of the team thereby pulling the team together.
To ensure you are a team player , you must be carrying out any of the roles listed below.There are basicly nine roles of available for team players to occupy based on their individual make up.
1.THE RESOURCE INVESTIGATOR:They are very creative and like to run with ideas,they are usually popular and are extroverts.
2.THE PLANT:They are original thinkers, they generate new ideas, they offer solutions to problems, they think in radically different ways,laterally, imaginatively.
3. THE CO-ORDINATOR:They are highly disciplined and controlled, they can focus on objectives, they unify a team.
4.THE SHAPER:They are very achievement oriented, they like to be challenged and get results.
5.THE MONITOR EVALUATOR:They analyze and balance and weigh, they are calm and detached , they are objective thinkers.
6.THE TEAM WORKER:They are supportive and co-operative, they make good diplomats because they only want what is best for the team.
7.THE IMPLEMENTER:They have good organizational skills, they display common sense,they like to get the job done.
8.THE COMPLETER: They check details, they tidy up after themselves,they are painstakingly conscientous
9.THE SPECIALIST:They are dedicated to acquiring a specialized skill, they are extremely proffessional,they have drive and dedication.
